Library of anomalous books We live in an era when books go out of print in months. It is therefore important to maintain a library of books concerning the paranormal and anomalous for researchers. Many books have been kindly donated by members over the years and the collection is now quite impressive. The ASSAP library contains over 1500 books covering every area of paranormal research - from Alien Abductions to Zener cards - as well as numerous magazines, journals and other publications. A full catalogue of the library's contents can be viewed from within the members area of this website. The catalogue is also available as either a paper version (for a small fee of £2.50) or an email version (for free). If you would like a copy, please contact the librarian. Most of the library's contents are available to ASSAP members to borrow via our postal lending system. The only exceptions are those publications that are too old, too rare or too valuable to be lent out. Access to these is only possible if accompanied by a member of the ASSAP Executive and needs to be arranged beforehand with the librarian. Access to the ASSAP library is not available via the normal UK inter-library lending network. |
Urgent help required! The library is homeless again - please see the News page for how you can help! Using the library 1. Send a letter or email to the ASSAP Librarian stating which item(s) you would like to borrow (up to a maximum of 3). If you would like a reply by post please remember to enclose a stamped self-addressed envelope. 2. The librarian will send you a pro-forma invoice detailing whether the books are available and how much it will cost to have them posted to you (both First Class and Second Class). In addition to p&p, there is a nominal fee of £1 for using the Library. 3. You send a cheque payable to "ASSAP" for the required amount. 4. The librarian sends you your books. 5. You return the books within three months. It's as simple as that! |
